Man goes amok inside quick meals chain, nabbed

MANDAUE CITY, Cebu – A person from Talibon, Bohol is going through costs for direct assault and alarm and scandal for allegedly going amok whereas inside a quick meals chain in Brgy. Tawala in Panglao city.

The suspect allegedly hit a police officer on his mouth throughout the commotion that occurred at round 12:50 p.m. on Thursday, July 3.

A video of the incident has since gone viral on social media.

In a report, the Bohol Police Provincial Workplace (BPPO) mentioned that two policemen assigned on the Bohol Vacationer Police Unit in Panglao responded after they had been knowledgeable by the quick meals chain’s safety guard of the incident.

Nevertheless, it stays unclear as to what prompted the person to go amok.

The report mentioned that the responding law enforcement officials tried to subdue the person, who grew to become unruly “thereby threatening the security of the staffs [and] prospects.”

BPPO mentioned that “The responding law enforcement officials, requested the suspect to relax, nonetheless, the suspect regularly prompted disturbance by shouting and asking for a battle.”

It mentioned that “the suspect, with out obvious motive, attacked and punched the law enforcement officials thereby hitting one police officer on his mouth.”

“The suspect regularly resisted with the police and prompted commotion thereby threatening public security. He was then efficiently subdued and arrested by the responding law enforcement officials, knowledgeable of his rights and was delivered to Panglao Police Station,” it added.

PCOL Arnel Banzon, the BPPO director, has recommended the 2 law enforcement officials for his or her swift response and for following the Police Operational Procedures.

Nevertheless, Banzon mentioned that they are going to be “open for any investigation pertaining the incident.”

Banzon mentioned that BPPO, “underneath his management will proceed [to] guarantee regulation and order, shield the citizenry and vacationers, stop and management crime and guarantee public security.”
